We collect information: (a) directly from you when you create an account, make a purchase, contact us, or fill in a form; (b) automatically as you use the platform, through cookies and similar technologies; and (c) from third-party service providers, such as our payment processor (Stripe) and platform host (LearnWorlds), who provide us with transaction and usage information needed to deliver the service.

We use your personal information to provide, operate, and improve the platform. Under the GDPR and Law 25, we rely on the following legal bases:

6. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers (processors) who help us run the platform, under contracts that require them to protect your data and use it only on our instructions. These include:
- LearnWorlds — hosting and operation of the e-learning platform, and sending transactional and marketing emails through the platform;
- Mailchimp — sending newsletters and marketing emails;
- Stripe — payment processing;
- Vimeo — hosting and streaming of course videos;
- Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads) — usage analytics and advertising measurement;
- Meta Platforms (Facebook/Instagram Pixel) — advertising measurement;
- professional advisors, and authorities where required by law or to protect our rights.
Business transfers. If Dojo12 is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of its business or assets, your personal information may be transferred to the party involved as part of that transaction. We will require the recipient to protect your information consistently with this policy, and where the law requires, we will notify you and give you any choices to which you are entitled.
7. International data transfers
We operate from Canada and use service providers located in Canada, the United States, the European Union, and elsewhere. This means your personal information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where we transfer personal data out of the EU/EEA, UK, or Quebec, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, or equivalent measures, and (for Quebec) we assess that the information receives adequate protection. 8. How long we keep it
We keep your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy: for the life of your account and your course-access period, and afterwards as needed to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations (typically up to 7 years for transaction records), to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.
9. How we protect it
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, including encryption of passwords and payment data handled by our processors, access controls, and secure hosting. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond appropriately to any confidentiality incident, including notifying you and the relevant authority where the law requires.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights over your personal information:
- Access — obtain a copy of the information we hold about you;
- Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Erasure / deletion — ask us to delete your information, subject to legal limits;
- Restriction / objection — limit or object to certain processing;
- Portability — receive your information in a structured, commonly used format;
- Withdraw consent — at any time, where processing is based on consent;
- Withdraw from / de-index — ask us to stop disseminating information or to de-index it, where applicable;
- Complain — lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority (see below).

11. Quebec (Law 25) specific information
If you reside in Quebec, the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) applies. In addition to the rights above, you have the right to access and correct your information, to withdraw your consent, and to data portability. Our Person in charge of the protection of personal information is Serge Williams (contact@dojo12.com). We obtain consent for the collection and use of your information, use it only for the purposes identified, and notify affected individuals and the regulator of any confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (CAI) at www.cai.gouv.qc.ca.
12. California (CCPA) specific information
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in the way those terms are defined under California law. 13. Children’s privacy
The platform is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of majority without the consent of a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without appropriate consent, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Automated decisions & marketing
We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing. We send marketing emails only with your consent or as otherwise permitted by law, and every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link. You can also opt out at any time by contacting us.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows the current version. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, for example by email or a notice on the platform.
